Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) - Vancouver (Northeast)

Patients who require medical attention within 48 - 72 hours but are not emergencies.
Residents in Northeast Vancouver and surrounding areas will now have increased access to care for urgent needs, and team-based everyday health care. With a focus on residents in the neighbourhoods of Hastings Sunrise, Renfrew Collingwood and Cedar Cottage, the new Urgent and Primary Care Centre will provide care for unexpected, non-life-threatening health concerns that require same-day treatment. If your primary care provider is not available (family doctor or nurse practitioner), you can go to the Northeast UPCC for illnesses or injuries such as:
  • Sprains and strains
  • Cuts, wounds or skin conditions
  • High fever
  • Infections, including chest, ear and urinary tract
  • Asthma attacks
  • New or worsening pain
  • Dehydration/constipation
  • Less serious child illness and injury
  • Worsening chronic disease
  • Social work services
  • Indigenous Elder support is also available on referral
