Substance Use Program - Westshore-Western Communities (WC-SUP) - MHSU

Substance use treatment and support services.
WC-SUP consists of a continuum of services for people who are interested in changing their use of substances and want support. They provide a single access point for individuals seeking adult mental health and substance use services. These services include:
  • Addiction medicine treatment for any substance use disorders including opiates, alcohol, benzodiazepines, stimulants, cocaine, GHB etc. This includes safe supply prescribing during clinic hours
  • Access to an MHSU Clinician for short-term counselling (during clinic and/or outreach hours)
  • Access to a Peer Support Worker who can support with transportation, advocacy, etc. (during clinic or outreach hours)
  • Access to psychoeducational groups for substance use and mental health
  • Access to Harm Reduction supplies and naloxone
  • Access to drug testing via Substance (UVic)
  • Referrals to other community services and resources

Individuals are eligible if they live in the Western communities (Langford, Sooke, Colwood, Metchosin, View Royal), have expressed interest in changing their substance use and would like support.

  • Self-referral
  • Physician or nurse practitioner referral

Details: Referral is not required, but you can self-refer or be referred by a physician (referral faxed to MHSU CARES).
