Seniors Services Programs

Provided by Chilliwack Community Services

Provides various volunteer-driven support services for seniors in Chilliwack.
The following support services are offered to seniors and provided by volunteers:
  • Meals on Wheels: A hot meal consisting of main course, soup or salad, and dessert delivered to the door. For people still living in their own homes who, because of age, illness or disability, cannot cope making their own meals. $9.25 per meal charge.
  • Better at Home Program: Provides non-medical support services, delivered by a mix of paid contractors and volunteers, to seniors to help them stay in their homes for as long as possible. Services available: minor home repairs, light yard work, grocery shopping and light housekeeping to seniors (65+).
  • STARS Seniors Transportation and Ride Service: Provides seniors (55+) with safe, reliable transportation to appointments, errands, and social events. Transportation is offered via our 12 passenger, wheelchair accessible bus and driven by a professional driver. The STARS bus travels as far as Abbotsford and back.
  • Social Prescription: Supports individuals in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, and social engagement as a way of taking their own health and enabling them to engage in and contribute to their community.
