Kamloops Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT Clinic) - Interior Chemical Dependency Office - Addictions Treatment

Provided by Interior Chemical Dependency Office (ICDO)

Privately-run methadone clinic which provides an outpatient, multidisciplinary, and supportive methadone treatment program for adults and youth who misuse heroin or other opiates.
Offers individual and group addictions counselling, Self-Management, and Recovery Training (SMART) Recovery meetings, Telehealth Addiction Services to rural communities and provincial correctional facilities, and medication-assisted recovery for alcohol dependence and opioid addiction (methadone, Suboxone).

Provides harm reduction education and referrals to health services, addictions services, and other social supports. Also provides safer sex supplies, including condoms. Opioid users are provided with free Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) that can be used to reverse the effects of overdoses from opioids like heroin, methadone, morphine, oxycodone, and fentanyl.

Monthly clinic fees are charged which includes counselling; may be subsidized for eligible clients, such as those on disability or on social assistance. Call to book an appointment.
